I was interviewed by 3 mid-level js developers that thought they were principal engineers. They asked me all kind of questions that had little or nothing to do with the job spec. My first impression was: these guys are complete amateurs.

The entire process lasted around 2 weeks, from online application to signed contract. 1. Applied online to the role. 2. I was contacted by a HomeAway recruiter some days after. 3. I had a 30 minutes screening phone call with the recruiter. 4. Recruiter sent me a coding challenge, which took around 3 hours to complete (because I tried to detail every step). 5. The recruiter gave positive technical feedback some days after and invited me to an onsite interview. 6. In London offices I interviewed with the recruiter, two engineers and the head of the engineering team (my future line manager). The entire process lasted around 3 hours. 7. The day after I received an offer from HomeAway. 8. After some days discussing the offer with the recruiter I signed the offer.
