I interviewed for a Network Engineer role at Vi Living and, while initially optimistic, the experience was disappointing. There was no phone screen with an HR representative, no video or phone call with the hiring manager; everything was packed into a single onsite interview. I was scheduled to meet with 3 people over a 2-hour window, but I ended up interviewing with 5 people over the course of 3 hours. The real concern came after the interview. Despite setting expectations for follow-up and giving the company over 3 weeks to respond, I received zero feedback; not even a simple rejection. The recruiter stated they hadn’t heard anything either, which reflects poorly on the company’s internal communication and respect for candidates. This type of behavior is, unfortunately, becoming more common: companies conduct lengthy interviews, expect significant time commitments, and then go completely silent. It's a discouraging trend and one that undermines trust and damages employer brand. While the team members I met were courteous, the overall lack of closure and accountability speaks volumes. Vi Living may be a good place for others, but based on my experience, I would think twice before engaging with their hiring process again.
