I reached out because I have a friend and liked their product. They put me through a total of seven interviews. The recruiter was very nice and accommodating. Then I had a three person interview panel, predictive index and application. Then I met with one of the directors. All were good conversations. The last interview was with the other director and he did not show any courtesy or respect. He was walking his dog outside or something and kept having to mute because it was so loud. I was irritated and asked if he needa to reschedule which I’m guessing rubbed him the wrong way. We did not get along. Three days later I find out that I am not a fit because I am too senior and probably won’t follow their “playbook”. Product is cool but their recruiting process needs a lot of work and show some respect to the candidates that are taking time out of their day.

Step 1 - Screening call with HR
Step 2 - Call with Sales Manager
Step 3 - Call with Sales Operations to run through previous performance metrics
Step 4 (final) - In person interview at their office. Consists of a culture fit meeting and a mock discovery call with a prospect
Although I didn't get the offer, Jasmin from the HR team was very efficient and helpful throughout the whole process. She gave a very strong first impression of Verkada from the go.

The initial recruiter did a great job at selling the interview process and awesomeness of the people I would be speaking with. ...They all seemed to be busy with their minds up prior to the meeting. I understand it is a competitive position but it felt like an audition where the director already made up his mind
basic interview questions - had to drive down to do an interview with multiple people, it essentially took a day, just to not get the job. Felt like we could have done it remote.
