Email w recruiter then hiring manager to setup time to meet face to face. It was going well with recruiter on basic background and culture. I read many reviews here and posts from CEO on culture and
Looking to be a billion dollar org which is great.
I’m positive Mr McKay isn’t aware of the field hiring practices.
Face to face with hiring manager was going well until I had a gut feeling on why he mentioned the “team is hiring many less experienced hunters”
Another comment was on one member who just likes to drive to remote customer sites and who has no ties at home so he’s “ok with him not being as senior in the role”.
Even at the end of the interview I asked do you have any other questions for me? He then said, “let me make sure I cover my bases and grabbed my resume to ask, why Veeam”
When the whole conversation before that was just on the weather in town and the industry in general, small talk.
I had the pleasure also to meet with another member of the “team” who was senior to myself and discussed why I was passed over, for the role and never given any feedback as to why. Only the “were going with another candidate”. Even the recruiter same template response.
I was flat out told “offline” the “team” is focused on less senior hires as is the inside sales team for “hunters” that will go and pretty much do anything it takes for a sale.
I’d “highly” suggest Mr McKay and team review their sales hiring practices towards “senior” experienced candidates or just don’t waste their time.

The HR woman called me, asked basic questions then talked over me. I was not impressed. She was unprofessional and it showed me a side of the comment I did not want to work with.

It was done on zoom and went smooth and on time. The questions were role related and also had good feedback after the interview process which really helped. Seems like a nice company

Phone interview with corporate HR, then phone and face-to-face interview with local sales manager. The process was fairly quick, and they weren't going to negotiate terms of the salary or benefits.
