4 Rounds of interviews:
1. Recruiter Screen (15-20mins)
2. Interview with Team Lead Regional Sales Engineering (30 mins)
3. Interview with Manager Technical Sales Engineering (30 mins)
4. Interview / Technical Presentation with Director of Sales Engineering and another member of the Sales Engineering Team. (60 mins)
Overall, the process was positive. First three interviews were very conversational and laid back. I got the impression they were mostly looking for a good fit culturally and received positive feedback on those stages of the interviews.
Technical Round wasn't too bad. Sent an outline of what to prepare in advance. Present on a chosen topic for 15-20 minutes.
I got the feeling at the end of the technical interview that my interviewer didn't quite feel like I had met the expectation they were looking for. I feel like I had presented well and met the expectations of the presentation. So not really sure what they would have wanted more/different. Ultimately, was not chosen for further rounds/offer. Not really much feedback beyond that.
Disappointed not to get an offer as things had gone really well through the initial rounds. But, so it goes with interviews. Sometimes it works out, sometimes not.
Good experience overall. Seems like some really good, genuine people that I got to chat with.

They asked mostly background questions to get to know me. Conversational and laid back. Did ask about experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.
Wasted a month getting dragged around the interview process for different roles as they acted like they wanted to find a fit. Ends with zero communication for weeks followed by a pre-baked email with zero feedback. Never interested in getting involved with this company again, utterly exhausting process.

Interview process was messy. Internal recruiter and hiring staff seemingly wasting time with feedback and moving the process along. Nearly 2 months of interviews. I was the one constantly chasing up for feedback or trying to figure out what was even going on. Did roughly 5-6 interviews total, including a presentation. Questions were pretty easy, nothing really technical if you know about their product line. Got an offer, and it was disappointing to say the least. Accepted at first because I really wanted a career change, but then they took forever to get paperwork and onboarding together. It's now been 2 weeks, and still no progression since accepting the offer so I couldn't even put in notice with my current job. Had to provide my own information because it seemed like they weren't doing their due diligence on getting everything ready. In the time between accepting the offer and now, I interviewed for another job and received a much better offer. Lots of red flags throughout the process and feeling like I was genuinely not much of a priority to them when I was expected to make them a priority every time. If I hadn't been working from home, I probably would've lost my current job trying to do all of these bogus interviews. Varonis is a great company, but this really tainted my experience of wanting to be in this division with what's currently going on. It really felt like they had no idea what they wanted or how to make a decision. Even when I emailed them to let them know I had accepted another offer instead, I got no response from one person and an out of office reply from the other. And that has pretty much summed up my entire interview experience. Expect to never really know what's next or where you stand because of "them finding the right fit."
