Ghosted entirely and they dangled the carrot for months after signing their offer letter.
2-3 rounds of phone screening asking about prior experience and familiarity with the specific work they're doing at this VTG location.
I received a job offer and accepted it and went through the pain-staking process of getting my clearance transferred to them. The first training date was months away and as the date got closer I started asking questions about when I might expect an employment contract? No response. I tried calling and emailing different numbers over the following months and got no response.
Eventually I heard back and booked a time to speak with my recruiter and hear about where this career was going. I had put other lines of work on hold for this job and just wanted a timeline of my employment. The recruiter entirely ghosted that meeting and has not responded since. I got back in contact with the hiring manager to ask what was going on, he briefly explained clearances are taking a while, but in talking with the security team I found out my clearance was entirely good to go and in their system. We booked another appointment to talk on the phone and he also ghosted that appointment with no further follow up communication.
I've found them to be extremely unprofessional, clearly, and have wasted plenty of my time, stringing me along and unapologetically wasting months of my career. In consulting with the president of a separate security company, it sounds like I received the job offer and had my clearance transferred VTG's own benefit in securing contracts with little intention to ever employ me.
My advice is if you receive an offer from them do not count on that resulting in employment and immediately continue your job search. Thankfully I didn't move out of state for this work as they implied might be necessary within the month.
