The process was handled extremely unprofessionally. The recruiter was 5+min late to the first interview, he never apologized, said his cat wanted his attention, and he was very robotic on the entire call. He complained about being a recruiter and having to talk to people all day. We discussed salary and my base salary was at the low end of their "total cash compensation" range for this role. On the second call, I enjoyed speaking to the manager who lives abroad. I felt he cared about employee growth. On the third interview, his counterpart seemed very uninformed about the process. He was aggressive in his questions and barely asked me anything that felt personable or productive. He told me not to take his communication personally. It was odd. Finally, was called on a Friday by the recruiter and made a verbal offer that was MORE THAN 10% LOWER than their base salary range. No explanation was given. I inquired as to why this was. And, I was told I would hear back with the written offer on Monday. I received no update on Monday or Tuesday and received the prewrote rejection email template on Wednesday. Unheard of. So unprofessional.
