      Entrevista

      Getting the initial interview was a challenge as they had over 1,000 applicants for the role. Once I was in the hiring pipeline it was much quicker going from step to step. I made it through the initial screening call, one interview with the sales manager, and a mock demo/intro call. The team was very friendly and they set very clear expectations for both the interview and the role. I was genuinely interested in the product and what they were building which helped. The mock demo was challenging as I didn't have enough industry knowledge prior to starting the interview process and had not recently worked in SaaS sales. While I didn't get an offer, I felt like it was a good interview process and would recommend UserGems as a company to anyone interested in SaaS and AI with a focus on marketing and sales support.

      First was a 5 minute loom video answering 5 questions. (see email below) ----- Thanks for your interest in the AE role at UserGems, we’re excited to get to know you better! As the first step in the process, we’d love for you to record a short video (3-5 minutes) introducing yourself and answering a few prompts. This replaces our traditional phone screen and gives our hiring manager a chance to hear more about what drives you, how you think, and why you’re excited about UserGems. You can use Loom.com to record your video — it’s free and easy to use. Once you’re done, just send us the link. 🎥 Video Prompt In your video, please cover the following: Introduce yourself – Give us a brief overview of your background and what led you to apply for this role. Why UserGems? – Based on what you’ve learned so far, what excites you about our product and mission? Tell us about a time you figured something out on your own or overcame a challenge without a clear playbook. What was the outcome? How would you approach your day as an AE? What keeps you motivated? What would your past teammates or manager say it’s like to work with you? What do you do when you fall short of a goal? This isn’t meant to be overly formal, we’re not expecting a scripted performance. We just want to get a sense of how you think, communicate, and carry yourself. Feel free to take time to put this together, just reply back with your Loom link when you have it. Looking forward to hearing from you! ----- After that it was a 30 minute interview with the Sales Leader. The 30 minutes was structured to be more about getting to know me as a person, strengths, weakness and a conversation. Questions added below. ---- It is structured so that there should be 10 minutes left to ask him questions back as well.
