Received a phone call within two to three weeks after submitting application. HR representative at first contact was somewhat rude during scheduling of interview, stating that interviews only took place at certain dates. Eventually picked a date and a time, which was a Thursday morning. Arrived at USA main office in East Providence for interview. Sat at breakroom while waiting for interviewer, another USA HR rep. Conducted interview at HR rep's office, asked only basic interview questions with no technical questions. In other words, there was no chance to showcase my actual technical skills to the company during this first interview. The HR representative stated that there would be a second interview if I made it, which I did not, which involves USA's IT staff. The second interview would consist of technical questions pertaining to the job I was applying for. Sent email to interviewer thanking her, got no response until she had sent me an email stating that the company would not move forward with me during the application process. I felt that the interview process was very cut-throat and lacked any opportunity for me to showcase my IT knowledge verbally. The first interview should have included the IT manager so he can see if I am a right fit for the company.
