Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. El proceso duró 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Unity (Montreal, QC)
Entrevista
I have been contacted by HR for an opening position in UX design. The process was pretty long (about 2 months) but everyone was really friendly, encouraging and supportive.
1st interview was a phone call with HR. I could share about my experiences as well as my expectations. It was also the opportunity to learn more about the project, the company and the culture.
2nd and 3d interviews were with lead designers. I could talk about how I want to evolve as a designer and why this project is aligned with my goals. They also told me more about the project itself and asked about my design methodology, previous experiences, situations I've dealt with in the past...
Then 5 interviews on-site including a portfolio review. I could meet with the team and start envisioning how we would like to work together.
Then a background check
... and last step was call from HR with an offer.

Solicité el puesto a través de la recomendación de un empleado. El proceso duró 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Unity (Seattle, WA) en may 2020
Entrevista
I had a great time interviewing at Unity and meeting the team. The team was incredibly approachable, and the questions they asked were well thought out and tailored to the company itself. The interview process took 1.5 months, 2 months to hear back with a final answer.
1. 30 min recruiter screening
2. 30 min call with the Hiring Manager
3. 30 min call with Global UX Director
4. 5 hour onsite (45 min portfolio presentation, 15 min Q&A, 4 hours of calls with the team)
1. The recruiter screening was more of an initial interview. The recruiter is well informed about technical details of the company and asks questions to gauge how good of a fit you'd be for the team.
2. The hiring manager was a Senior UX Designer. They asked analytical questions and asked me to share a project from my portfolio on the fly.
3. The Global UX Director asked questions to gauge if I would fit into the overall design vision of the company. I shared a couple projects. He was very approachable.
4. The onsite starts with a 45 minute portfolio presentation with 2 - 3 projects to present and 15 minutes of Q&A. Then, there are 4 hours of calls with different members of the team (engineers, product manager, visual design details, UX research).
