I had to transfer in from a different Local. The Business Agent was very helpful to put me to work until the board voted on whether to allow me to join their local or not. He was very considerate of my family needs and conscientious about getting money flowing again in order for me to pay my bills. I had to get a letter from my Local, releasing me before joining the new one. Make sure your dues are paid up before hand.
