Entrevista
Uline had contacted me to do an in-person interview at their Allentown site after I had applied to their opening through LinkedIn. They weren't flexible at all when scheduling the interview so I had to use PTO time. That's fine because I thought they were a reputable organization.
They required that I complete four online assessments and two assessments at the interview. None of these assessments had anything to do with being an effective HR employee. Keep in mind, I have more education than what's required and enough experience to meet their minimum qualifications. I'm also bilingual which helps with Spanish-only speaking line staff.
They also required that I complete a paper application (It's 2021, who does paper applications anymore?), sign a drug consent form, and sign a background check form.
I interviewed great. Two days later I received an email that I was not selected. No second interview at least. They most likely went off those assessments which by the way are discriminatory and exclude a lot of minority candidates. I do not recommend this organization. Their HR department seriously needs to reconsider their hiring practices.

Called day after submitted resume. Sent four assessments. One of which was sales focused. Completed all four online. The facility is gorgeous. Go to interview dressed very nicely greeted by staff dressed down because they are having a job fair. They kept explaining the situation. Given two timed tests where they walk through the room slamming doors. Then send a recruiter in to ask canned questions suitable for a new college graduate not a seasoned HR professional. Where do you see yourself in five years? This question was ridiculous for someone with my education and experience. However, I answered it diplomatically. I knew I was not going to be moved on due to my age.
