      Solicitud

Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 6 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en UiPath (New York, NY) en mar 2019

      Entrevista

The entire interview process took about 6 weeks for me. I was first given a Hacker Rank Assessment containing 10 logic questions and 2 coding questions. The coding session was a bit tricky. I remember I had to use hashmap to get the most optimal output. After I passed the Hacker Rank Assessment, it took a week to schedule a video call to meet with senior recruiter. This video interview is very informal and informational. The recruiter was very nice and explained the value of the company. She made it very clear that it is very important to the company that they hire someone compatible not just experienced. The first technical interview with senior developer was scheduled 2 weeks after the HR informational interview since my first contact recruiter went for a vacation break. The technical interview was definitely easier than the Hacker Rank Assessment. I remember I had two coding questions. I didn't get it right away. I talked it through with the interviewer and I planned my algorithm out first and ask if I am on the right track before I begin writing code. The interviewer was nice and supportive. We actually had a lot of fun discussing ways to solve the problems. A week later, I was schedule to meet with two of the technical leads as the final interview. This time I was asked to bring in a piece of automation process using UiPath Studio Comminity Edition. I prepared by watching the UiPath Academy video tutorials and the open forum. I made a process using my entire weekend due to the fact that I still work full-time. It took me a full weekend since I wasn't too familiar with the software but it was user-friendly enough that I could make a pretty complex automation without having a deep knowledge of the software. The final interview started with me introducing myself and presenting the automation piece first. Then I was asked to write code solving an algorithmic/semi mathematical question. It was so long ago, I kinda remember it's something like adding the numbers then do something with the output of addition. I struggled a bit with this coding but the tech lead was kind to guide me through and I was able to solve it! Yayy~ The first interviewer gave me positive and negative feedback right away. Then the second tech lead came in and ask me told me a little about the team. Second tech lead was very genuine person and he made me feel much more relaxed after the first coding session. However, he had to give me another coding question too but this time I wasn't as nervous. I asked a lot of questions and cracked the code literally by baby steps... After the finishing up with the second tech lead, I met with the Boss Man! He was super chill and nice! He asked me to show him my proudly made automation piece and told me how he is trying to build this ultimate amazing team in NYC. This is the reason why they spend so much time and effort on interviewing people because they care a lot about the individuals that they hire to have the right motive and right attitude and is the right fit to the team. I learned a lot going through all the interviews and phone calls back and forth. I feel like if I didn't get the offer, I walked away with a lot of valuable interviewing experience and I was ready to rock the next interview if it comes to it. I feel like that people that had a negative experience need to reflect on themselves and not blame the company. However, I would say the process did take a bit longer and you have to be on top of your recruiter. Patience is the virtue in this case. I hope that this review help ease your mind. Best of luck and I hope more amazing people join the company! The offer comes soon after the final interview and the VP will call and talk to you about the next step.

      Entrevista

The interview process consisted of an online logic/coding test that took about 1.5 hours, an initial phone screen with the head of HR, two separate coding screens, and a 30-minute onsite interview with a manager.
