You must pass the ASVAB and choose a list of jobs you wish to do. You then wait in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP) until one of the jobs is available. As long as you maintain your health and do not get into legal trouble, you will be cleared to ship with the position.
Very laid back interview, but the job I interviewed for was not the job I applied for. I ended up getting the job, and have since moved to another position.

Do the ASVAB test, pass it, get in based on job availability. You will be required to complete boot camp and a technical school for the selected job. Thereafter, you will start the job and receive OJT (On the job training) right away.
