I appeared for the on-campus placement process where the first stage was an online written examination covering aptitude, logical reasoning, and basic technical questions from core electrical engineering subjects such as machines, power systems, and electronics. The test was of moderate difficulty, and after the results were announced, I was shortlisted for the interview round. The final interview was conducted as a combined Technical and HR interview, taken simultaneously by a two-member panel. The technical interviewer focused on my fundamentals in electrical engineering and asked questions on transformers, induction motors, power system protection, and some practical concepts related to drives, relays, and fault analysis. They also discussed my internship experience and my project on renewable–conventional grid coordination, along with a few application-based problem-solving questions to check my conceptual clarity. At the same time, the HR interviewer interacted with me on behavioural and personality-based topics. I was asked to introduce myself, explain why I wanted to join the company, talk about my strengths and weaknesses, and share examples of teamwork or leadership from past experiences. They also asked about relocation, career goals, and overall attitude. Both interviewers were friendly, and the discussion felt more like a conversation than a formal interrogation. The atmosphere was comfortable, and they gave me enough time to think and answer. Overall, the interview process was smooth and well-organized, and I received my final selection after the interview results were declared.
