Within an hour of submitting my online application I was contacted by a recruiter wanting to schedule a phone screening for the next day which went well and gave me the impression that they were serious about trying to fill the role. Screening was like any other-asked about myself, previous role, etc and was told that my resume would be forwarded to the hiring manager and would hear back whether they wanted to move forward or not. DIdn't hear anything back until almost month later to schedule a panel video interview with 4 of of the department managers but for the following week. Questions were open-ended but related to the position (write a simple SQL search query, product familiarity/knowledge, and some example scenarios dealing with clients and colleagues). Interview itself was awkward. Joined via Teams but I was the only one with my camera on so I watched myself talk the whole time. Also a little too ambitious trying to schedule a 30 minute, 4 person panel interview for a technical role as each one had 2-3 questions each from what I was told during their introduction but only was able to get to 3 managers where the third only had time to ask me 1 of their questions and other than their introduction, didn't hear the 4th manager speak after that. Like explained, the questions were easy but again was told I'd hear back. Two weeks pass by, then a month, two and now three and no communication. Obviously I stopped pursuing that opportunity a week after the panel interview but at least a "thx, but no thx" would have been appreciated.
