Take several skills tests for the areas you want to teach, such as physics or geometry. After passing the tests, you are given a software to download that teaches you how to use the Tutor.com classroom. Then, you finally have a 1:1 interview with a current mentor, who asks you to explain a concept using the classroom and "mock teach" a session. After passing this, you go on a trial period for one month, after which if you have maintained a good rating from students, you become a regular tutor.

The interview process at Tutor.com was straightforward. First, I had to complete at least one subject exam that was on demand, which took me a few days. Once I passed, the rest of the process was smooth and simple, including setting up my profile and waiting for approval to start working.
