Long and drawn out online application process. It can take up to a month for an applicant to get through with all of it, and at least that long for them to decide. Then there are the 2 gigantic manuals they expect you to basically memorize prior to practicing in their virtual classroom. They tell you they pay on the 4th of every month, but that is only if it suits them to pay on that day. The fine print states they pay anywhere from the 4th through the 8th of every month. And, of course, they do not mention this up front.

The interview process at Tutor.com was straightforward. First, I had to complete at least one subject exam that was on demand, which took me a few days. Once I passed, the rest of the process was smooth and simple, including setting up my profile and waiting for approval to start working.

It was a quick and easy interview process but the job description made it seem more intense than it actually was, which was relieving but also a little annoying because it was misleading.
