Recruiter reached out to me. Said she was going to “expedite” me through because the manager was looking to fill the position quickly. Made it seem like I was “the one”. First interview was with the manager and two people on the team. First red flag, the manager said this was going to be like a round of “speed dating”. Second red flag, one of them team members seemed like she had an attitude. Despite all of that, I did well and was contacted for a second interview, which was just like the first. I was told I would hear back either way in two weeks. I sent a follow up email to the recruiter on week 3. Ghosted. I never heard back. It took them 9 months to send me the good ole, “we’re going with other candidates” email. The position was reposted. They never had any intent to hire.
