      Entrevista

      I had a phone interview setup with their HR screener, who I later found out was an intern, and wanted to interview on the spot. Despite this red flag, I proceeded but rescheduled at a later time. When they said they would talk about the job more, they just read the job description word for word. They asked if I could send them an updated resume with "specific numbers". They did not seem to know what "specific numbers" they needed and I did not bother to ask. The point of a resume is to get a recruiter's attention, and I did not feel the need to resend it again. Other than that, they just asked basic questions about the positions I had, but did not seem interested in asking more about my experiences and how I can use my skills to create value for the company. After the brief conversation, the intern did not give me the opportunity to ask questions of my own and was told I would be hearing back within a week. I did not hear back in a week like I was told and was so thoroughly unimpressed with the whole process that I did not bother to follow up. I felt like I was used as a guinea pig to give this intern some useless experience by "screening" candidates for a position that does not really exist. Based on this experience, if you do apply for a position, ask to speak with someone that has some influence on the hiring decision.
