Obnoxious people. The hiring manager had HR sitting with them and proceeded to tell me that they had a diverse team (I never asked ? *shrugs*). Then goes on to say how they have 8 French, 1 American and 1 Swiss on their team….ummmm ok?????? I got a sense that they just don’t trust Americans…the manager kept giving me that vibe through the whole interview. Then why are you a wasting our time? This was for a higher position but I just got a feeling that as an American I wouldn’t have fit it anyway. Turns out they have just been interviewing for the position and never selected anyone cause they just don’t know what they want. Plus their general distrust of American candidates isn’t helpful either. The position was never filled but just stop wasting our time and hire someone from France?
