Only did the first round phone interview, was invited for a second round in-person interview, including a test. But later were told they could not consider anyone who needs a visa.

I had the first round of interviews with HR. I was considered for a second-round interview in person. The second interview is supposed to have an in-person test component. For the social media role, it was supposed to be a half-hour social media analytic test. However, they passed on me after learning about my need for visa sponsorship.

I was contacted via email and asked to come in for an in-person interview. When I arrived, I found someone who seemed very confused upon telling them I was there for an interview and they asked me to wait in the "lobby" which is a 8x8 room with a ticket window. The room smelled of wet dog and it was suffocatingly hot in the building. Was offered no seat, water, bathroom or information as to what was going on and sat there leaning against the ticket counter. Every 5 minutes, someone who is not the people I was supposed to be interviewing would run out and ask to see my confirmation email even coming back to take a picture of it to run it into the office. The only explanation I was given after 30 minutes was "they don't have the conference room booked" and "they said they can't find the email".
I'm a pretty relaxed person, if there was a miscommunication on either end my usual attitude is "Things happen, it's all good." What I didn't appreciate is the people with who I corresponded couldn't even give me the dignity of coming out themselves and try to rectify the situation. Rather, they sent people back and forth who knew nothing of the situation and couldn't really offer me any timeline.
After 35 minutes of leaning against a ticket counter in a hot hallway and no progress, I left. I was thinking maybe they would reach out and apologize for the situation but.... nothing.
