I have been told that I will be having 4 rounds of interview. Technical Retail Domain Retail Domain Social and Justice I have cleared the first round and was looking forward to the next one. They told me the 2nd round would be more of domain round where the panel would be asking retail related questions but the panel was too rigid and they kept asking questions which might be related to product owners. Their job description and their expectations were quite different. I think they should revisit their role and identify these loopholes. Additionally, understand the background of the candidate and then come prepared. I expected much more from Thoughtworks but it seems they are as good as any ordinary organization. Not a good experience!

I had a 'Zoom' discussion with a person based in Chennai today for the Retail BA role and got the 'regret' mail soon after. These are some of the Retail process areas mentioned in the JD : Retail, E-Commerce across core retail functional areas like Forecasting, Order Management, Merchandising & Assortment Planning, Pricing, Promotions, Mark-down management, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Loyalty, Customer Experience, Analytics The person who interviewed me, despite belonging to some retail business group (as she said) has ZERO understanding of these areas. She was not able to comprehend the business processes and the nuances I had explained about my work. It took me about 40% of the time to explain some of the basic terminology to her. As she herself told me, she is basically from a finance background. In future, please don't subject candidates to such a farce. I am sure there are plenty of sound, knowledgeable people in Thoughtworks in retail domain too. Please get one of them to interview candidates.
