      Entrevista

Interviewed for a Business Technology Intern position, which I find out later to mean - over the phone customer service intern. The interview process consisted of a 5-10 minute interest phone call, 3 half hour long in person interviews followed with a 30 minute sit down session of a current support specialist. Needed to have an interest in technology, computers, and answering customer questions over the phone for 8 hrs a day.

      Entrevista

First there was the phone screen. They asked how I found out about the job and why I had applied. They also asked me about my background in business and technology. She told me that they wanted to interview me and explained the interview process and asked if I had any questions. Then she set up a phone interview with me for next week. This phone screen took 15 minutes. The phone interview consisted of some behavior questions and some simple technology questions. The ones I can remember: 1. Describe to me how you would start your task manager, 2. suppose that your printer isn't working what would you do, 3. describe a time you fixed some technology for another person, 4. if your computer that you bought new 1 month ago is running slow, describe to me the tasks that you would go through to fix this. For the behavioral questions they wanted you to give them an example of the time something related happened, describe the outcome, and say whether or not you were pleased with the outcome (when applicable). Some questions I remember: What was your favorite and least favorite classes. Then they answered any questions you may have. This took 45 minutes. Then I got the in office interview. This takes 3 hours and with my group there were two other people interviewing for the same position, but we were told that there are usually 1-3. Although you are with other people there is no group interview. First, they have someone show you around, answer questions, etc. Then, you job shadow someone, where you basically listen in on their phone calls. Lastly, you have three one on one interviews. Each interview takes about 20 minutes. The questions I remember were 1. Describe a time that you went above and beyond for a client. 2. Describe a time you worked in a team. 3. There are times when we all forget to do something for a client, describe a time that happened. 4. Describe a time a client asked you to do something unreasonable. (Remember for these its describe the situation, outcome, and whether you were pleased or not with the outcome). Then each of them asks you if you have any questions (so if you have been counting, 5 people [not including the tour guide] have just given you the opportunity to ask questions, and since you need to ask something I would suggest coming prepared). Everyone was very nice and the questions were fairly easy and not - technical. At the end of the day, I just didn't have the right background for this interview.
