Entrevista
It begins with the general conversation with a recruiter who was very nice by the way and very conversational. Then I was scheduled for an hour long interview that consisted of behavioral and technical questions with the manager and another member of the underwriting dept. The manager was from Virginia as was I so we immediately clicked I could tell they she was very down to earth. Passed that interview then one to more senior underwriters of the dept for the second interview. Ok here is where it gets stifling - I met with two males from Portland …I could tell this interview was not going to go off like the first. They call it an “Informal interview” and nowhere is it “Informal” . It felt uptight and stuffy but they were cordial.
Maybe they should rethink that process again.
The overall interviewing process is way to long for a candidate about 1 month.
My advice is to make sure you have other offers in at other companies. That way you stay ahead of the curve.
I wonder if they truly miss out on good candidates with these more “informal/formal interviews”. Overall not a bad process per say, I feel they could streamline some interview processes.
