I had applied on LinkedIn for their location in West Hollywood and forgot about it, they reached out to me via email to set up an "interview" a couple weeks after I had applied. I was under the impression it was going to be a video interview but it was actually over the phone. They spent a majority of the phone call describing the company and explaining what duties the job would entail. They reached out to me a couple days later and said they wanted to set up a video interview and the video interview was pretty much the same as the phone call. I had asked a lot of questions during the phone call so I did not have much to ask at that time. They said they would reach out to me by the end of the week with their decision but they never did, they just ghosted me. The whole process took less than 2 weeks. Takeaway: Honestly, the title of the position is really elaborate for the work that you would actually be doing. If you are familiar with Plato's Closet and how they give you a price for the clothes you bring in looking to sell that's exactly what you would be doing except the difference is you would be working with luxury brands. I thought it was going to be an office job but they explained how you would be working outside all day in a booth. The job is essentially a typical customer service retail position but theres a little more at stake since you are working with giving consignors an accurate price for their garments. If you are a college grad and are looking to work in the fashion/retail industry I would say not to waste your time and apply somewhere else or at least apply for a different, more serious position within the company. If you are into fashion, live in the area, and only have some retail experience I would say go for it. Also something that didn't sit right with me was regarding compensation, they could not give me an exact figure and simply asked me what I was looking for and just gave me a range of what I would be earning. **To anybody who read this all, I wish you good luck with your job hunt ventures. Remember don't settle for less, know your worth!
