My first interview was a hiring event. The group was narrowed down after our first interviews (2,000 pus applicants for this new location I believe) . We then had a second interview the same day in groups of 3-6. We were asked about our experience briefly but more about what we were willing to commit. The opening of a new location was going to be an extremely time consuming commitment. In addition we were told that for the initial opening we would have very small table sections to ensure we performed at the highest level possible while growing and leaning "The Cheesecake Factory way"; therefor less money in tips so it might be a little hard financially for the first month or possibly a few (at least compared to what we may have been used to). The GM then asked us about our personality and was himself extremely funny and genuine. He wanted to know if we were the type of employee that would learn and grow positively and be resilient. Of course everyone says they are the best at their own interview. Why wouldn't we? We want the job, right? So he explained to us that he knew this and told us about his expectations as well as sincerely giving us the genuine option to come back in a few months to try again and how he would appreciate this instead of us starting and then a month in bailing. I was amazed at the sincerity of this at the time but now know thatch is just the type of awesome things this company will do.

Will you give everything you have to learn about the high standards we keep, the huge delicious menu and most importantly our steps of service that give our guests the best experience in our dinning establishment? Will you become apart of our family if you have the skills, drive and willingness to do so?

2-3 interviews, a manager, senior manager and general manager. Very basic description of experience and what you can offer the company. Very comfortable and genuine experience. Best to just be upfront about your passion for the industry.

Apply online. You take a personality test online. If you pass that then you meet for an interview at the store you applied to. The process takes less than a week. Most server jobs have quick hire times.
