Entrevista
The hiring and interview process are very straight forward. It took me about 4 weeks to progress through all the steps. I met with amazing developers working at Call-Em-All at my university who told us about what they do. The entire interaction was very different and much more pleasant than other career fair interactions. After speaking with them, we were told to apply online. I was able to hear back after submitting the online application in a day and was asked to partake in a written interview. Moving forward, I then received my coding challenge, which was very interesting, to say the least. It truly required quite the brain power-which was very entertaining-so be prepared to spend some time going through all the possible solutions you come up with in regard to the challenge and make sure to document them! The steps leading up to the coding challenge proceeded very quickly. However, it took over two weeks for Call-Em-All to review the coding challenge, which is understandable as they get hundreds of applicants and are a smaller team. Finally, if shortlisted after the coding challenge round, you then have a phone interview where you get to speak with Hai (Co-founder and Head of engineering). Hai makes it a point to make sure that you are comfortable and lets you know that the interview won't be too technical, as they just want to get to know you. All-in-all, the interview experience was very pleasant. From speaking with Hai on the phone to conversing with Chanelle over Email. Everyone is very responsive, but don't hesitate to reach out if you don't hear back.
Here are a few additional tips:
-Make sure to read up on what the company does
-READ THE MANIFESTO. Its what sets them apart from other software companies.
-You get a week to solve the coding challenge so give it the time it deserves.
Good luck with your interview!
