Applied on Linkedin and was contacted through a Linkedin message to give times I was available for a phone interview. The phone interview was short approximately 10-15 minutes. The questions for me were basic interview questions. When it came to my questions for them, the interviewer was not prepared and could not answer a single one of my questions. They could not tell me anything more about the position other than the exact wording on the job description. When asked for more information on specific duties outlined in the description, the interviewer said that she did not know (had only been there a few months) and that the hiring manager would be able to answer it. After asking several questions that could not be answered, it was implied that I would be talking to the hiring manager at a later stage in the process. At the end of the interview, I was told my resume and notes taken during the interview would be passed along to the hiring manager and they would be in contact. A week later, I messaged the interviewer on Linkedin asking for an update and was told that they were looking at other candidates. I did not have a chance to talk to the hiring manager at all, for a position that I met all the requirements and had specific experience relating to the position.
