It's an unconventional interview process. You must teach a sample five-minute English lesson (and they really hold you to the time limit), read and answer questions about a sample case study and work with the other interviewees to brainstorm solutions. Afterwards comes the 1 on 1 interview. They encourage a collaborative environment with the other interviewees because their take on the interview process is "selective, not competitive," and there is the possibility that they will select either all or none of the interviewees.

We role played a scenario where as fellows we were faced with conflicting orders between local Chinese education administration and TFC Program management.
It was a very enjoyable process, including mock classes, Q&A, and values questions. Your motivation for coming here is the most critical. They want to find people who are really willing to serve for two years.

After you apply online, you are invited to an in-person interview if you advance to this stage. For some candidates, you may have a Skype interview before an in-person interview. The in-person interview consists of a teaching demonstration (other interviewees act as students), a group case study, and a one-on-one interview. The entire process lasts around 3-4 hours including a lunch break.
