Hi friends, my name is Vamsi (CSE) and I gonna share my interview experience with you. TCS conducted written exam in our college for 250 members, after scrutinizing against eligibility criteria (>65% & no active backlogs). We 250 members took the exam on 28-12-2013. It was all about Mail Writing & 30 Aptitude questions. There was no Green channel admission (students having >=78% need not take Aptitude test). Results were announced on 4-1-2014, intimating that 160 (approximately) cleared the exam. I was one among them. We were informed that, on 7-1-2014 we will be having 2 rounds: 1) TR+MR. 2) HR. 10 panels (each panel containing 2 members) simultaneously started interviewing students. In some panels easy questions were asked. Example: Write any c program and explain it. what is class and what is object. Unfortunately I got into hard questions panel. I was 10th member and after some time I got my turn. Each of my previous members where interviewed for a period. I went inside and submitted my resume. They have seen my favorite subjects, achievements and certifications. They wanted to test me, whether I really deserve certifications. (Oracle Certified DBA Associate 11g, Oracle Certified JAVA SE 7 Programmer). They asked me about my aim. I said DBA. My interview(TR+MR) lasted for about 90 minutes. I was asked the following dreadful questions. Tell about yourself other than what is in resume. *** Database *** Difference between Clustered & Non Clustered index? What is B+ Tree Index? Implement many-many relationship using tables. What is network model ? Write tables for implementing Super market functionality such that each of the table should be in 3 Normal form? Imagine that you are working in 24*7 environment. Write a query to retrieve all the details about users who performed transaction between 27/12/2013 1:00 AM and 27/12/2013 2:00 AM? Differentiate between Truncate and Delete? Can you rebuild a truncated table? If so how ? What are different log modes of Database? What is Oracle 11g and 12c ? Why Database ? *** JAVA *** What is significance of JAVA compared to others? Explain multiple inheritance in java with program? One is seriously asking questions and trying to criticize me, the other one is testing my confidence. At last they both smiled and asked whether if i have any questions. I said no. They asked me to leave. That is all about my TR+MR. After 15 minutes I was called for HR. (It was about 20 minutes) There is only 1 interviewer. I was asked following ? Tell me about yourself ? Ur strengths ? Write a letter to your project manager availing leave for 2 days ? Are you over confident ? Do u know about TCS bond ? Difference between MySql and SqlServer ? U r working in TCS & Infosys requests u to work for them. What will u do ? Which side u wanna work Developing side or Testing side ? Can u relocate yourself ? Do you have any questions for us. Me: "I wanna know the location, where I would work" Interviewer: What u wanna work, near to your home or what? Me: No sir, I just wanna make some prearrangement. Interviewer: Get ready to work in Jammu (He smiled) Me: Me too smiled. Interviewer: My name is *****. See you soon. (Smiled with a shake hand). He asked me to leave. I said thank you very much..
