They replied to my application in April 2021 with a Zoom interview. It seemed to go very well. Then they sent a rejection email. I asked for feedback. They wanted somebody with direct experience in digital marketing. Fast forward to early July. They contacted me again. They were still hiring and impressed by my background. They wanted to talk again. I had a series of interviews in July that seemed to go very well. Then I waited again. And waited. And waited. In late August I was asked to present a mock call with a client. I spent over a week preparing. It seemed ok. It clearly showed I know what I'm doing and they commented on that in a positive way. Then the call. NOPE. They want someone with industry knowledge. Same as before. 4 months before! I don't think they want to hire anyone that is over 30.
