Entrevista
Initial phone call with HR ( resume, background, skills etc)
First interview was with the Senior software engineer , He asked me an average programming question and we discussed the algorithm's complexity and other optimizations. I was also asked to come up with test cases.
This interview went well and after that I got an invite for an onsite interview.
The onsite interview was very well organized. I met with recruiter Laura here and she walked me through the whole process.
There were 3 interviews in total.
The first interview had 3 engineers come in ( one of them was based out of Seattle, so his part of virtual). I was asked to do white boarding on BST ( traversals) etc
The second interview was about system design. It was pretty hard and I had to come up with various approaches for efficient system design.
The last interview was more informal with the product testing manager. He was friendly and asked me relatively non-technical questions ( mostly on my background).
Finally , met with the HR at the end of the day and she said they will get back.
Its more than 2 weeks and I haven't heard from the HR.

Applied through a recruiter. Its a mini Microsoft company. All my interviewer are ex Microsoft. There was one telephonic and three onsite interview. Interview experience is very positive and everyone were very helpful. I sent email twice to recruiter to know about the onsite interview feedback, but haven't heard back anything. Please do respect the time each candidate is giving towards interviewing and every candidate deserve to know the outcome.

Initial communication:
I got a call from Tableau through a recruiter. I really like the fact that Tableau makes sure interview candidates have at least studied the company and product. The recruiters and engineers make sure you have at least played around with the product. This helps them learn new approaches to using their product ad helps them make it better too.
I had two phone screens. The questions were general but good and I enjoyed speaking with the engineers.
Planning:
I was given all resources I needed to study for the interview. I had to reschedule because of a conflict. This was done promptly. I really appreciate it. The entire schedule was given to me. The location was not which caused an hour's delay on the day of. I ended up at the head office instead of where the team was at.The team was very accommodating and we went ahead with the interview with everything just running an hour late. The recruiter apologized for not specifying the location and I realized I should have double checked as well.
Number of interviews: 5 on-site followed by one with the director of product testing
People:
The people are my favorite thing about this company. Everyone was a pleasure to meet and interview with. They were very fun and engaging. They helped me through the interview process. The questions were good and challenging.
Office:
The office seemed like a sincere and professional place to work. As an engineer, you can work from any geographical location irrespective of where your team is at.
Work Culture:
One thing I was told repeatedly is that 'Everyone is very passionate about the product and everyone uses it.' My impression was that, overall, Tableau really fosters collaboration.
