A TCI recruiter contacted me about a potential opportunity with the city She explained the role and salary. I was interested so I gave her my resume, which she forwarded on to the client. There was a delay of several weeks so I thought they weren't interested. I was surprised when they asked to set up an interview. The first step was a round of email questions and personality test, followed by a phone interview with the client, and then a face-to-face interview. I had many interactions with the hiring company. The process was very drawn out and took several weeks. Then, the communication ended very abruptly without any follow up - they did not inform me they hired someone nor closed the position. The recruiter said she was unable to get any response from the company either, but she would keep me in mind for future opportunities. Overall, I was very disappointed with the process and prefer to work on my own rather than having to rely on a recruiting company.
