I recently had one of the most overwhelming and unprofessional technical interviews I’ve experienced in years. From the beginning, it felt rushed — the interviewer seemed to be in a hurry, jumping from one question to another without giving me the chance to properly reason through my answers.
The interviewer (based in India) asked me to disconnect my monitors, close all applications on my computer, and even remove my headphones — which I did not agree to. On top of that, I was asked to show an ID just to "verify" I was really the one interviewing, which felt unnecessary and invasive.
What struck me most was that after only two or three questions, because I didn’t answer fast enough without proper reasoning, the interviewer abruptly said he would end the call. The entire process felt more like a security drill than a professional evaluation.
Overall, this was by far the worst technical interview I’ve had in years. It left me with the impression that the company prioritizes rushed procedures over genuine technical assessment and respect for the candidate.
