Screen call from HR. Person was cheery and kept things moving. No surprises and was able to provide ongoing feedback during the questions and at the end, in my case, positive feedback about my fit to the role. Several weeks past before the meeting with the hiring manager, which just went just OK. The person was ten minutes late (didn't apologize) and hardly smiled. Not a great first impression (based on my impressions of both, I would have rather worked for the HR person :) A few more weeks passed before I was notified that they were going with someone else. At least the hiring manager called my directly with this news, which few seldom do.
