      Solicitud

Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en TATA ELXSI (Philadelphia, PA) en ene 2020

      Entrevista

The interview process was generally clear and straightforward. There were two interviews sections with whomever. I am saying whomever because I have no idea who they were; they never introduce themselves other than their names (no position such as manager, hiring manager, chief eng.). During the last video interview, whoever it was was so unprofessional that you look at the blank screen and the person is watching you...meaning that your side of the video is ON and his side is just a dark screen. Imagine yourself; you are interviewing, they see and watch all your acts and stuff but you dont know what is going on the other side of the cable. Then suddenly with no warning, the interview cuts off. No thank you, no good bye, no good day. I was in a weird situation that I was still trying to answer the last interview question. Out of everything, after a couple of days the recruiter called me back and told me that I had done so well, they were so impressed, and I will get the job offer soon and I need to start in two weeks (the position was an urgent fill). I told them I need to move closer down to Philadelphia and I told them give me the offer letter so that I can rent an apartment (you need proof of income). They said they are working on it and go ahead, find an apartment and move. The time passed. Two weeks happened to be three weeks. Of course I found couple of apartments but I was waiting for the offer letter. Guess what, after calling and emailing them many times they never answered. They were insistently telling me "go ahead and rent your apartment, the job offer is coming" but they ghosted me when I tried to follow up. If I had trusted these people and this company, god knows what kind of situation I would be in. Imagine you rented a house/apartment by trusting these people and the company that you will get the job and then suddenly you don't have the job but a whole year contract of debt to the apartment you rented. It was very unprofessional and wrong ethically. Don't tell someone "you definitely have the job" then never follow through. Don't insist on someone to move and prepare themselves for a start date that never happens. Even to this day I haven't heard back from them, and it's been over a month since the initial promise of an offer letter coming, and the follow up call I did manage to get through to them. Horrible ethics, be warned!!!
