Applied online through job listing website, was contacted by recruiter shortly after. This led to a phone call with a manager, and then another phone call with managers from a different team. I was given a 2 hour take home coding challenge, with I did very well on. I was called onsite to a technical interview over four hours, this consisted of multiple interviews with 2 people at a time. The questions on site covered a variety of technical topics and my work experience but there were no whiteboard programming exercises. Received an offer for a position lower than what I was applying for, at a compensation level that matched my current position. I found this to be quite unprofessional, if someone is interviewing for a particular position they should be offered a position or that level or not be given an offer at all.
