Sutherland Review – Disappointing Experience with Time Wasted in the Recruitment Process I had a frustrating experience with Sutherland during their recruitment process, which ultimately led me to feel that the company is more focused on marketing than actually hiring qualified candidates. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Inefficient and Lengthy Recruitment Process: Sutherland scheduled multiple rounds of interviews with different people, which, in theory, could have been a good way to assess candidates. However, the process dragged on unnecessarily, with little clarity on the steps involved. Each round felt like it was just a formality, and there was no substantial feedback provided after each one. Lack of Transparency: At the end of the day, after going through the multiple rounds, I was informed that I wasn't selected or that I wasn't a suitable fit, despite having put in a considerable amount of time and effort. This lack of transparency in communication was quite frustrating. It felt as though they were simply going through the motions of interviewing candidates for marketing purposes rather than genuinely trying to hire. Time Wasted: It was disappointing to invest so much time in the process, only to be told in the end that I wasn’t selected. I understand that hiring processes can sometimes take time, but the lack of respect for candidates' time in this instance was notable. Scheduling multiple rounds for candidates without clear intent is, frankly, disrespectful. Lack of Constructive Feedback: After being rejected, there was little to no constructive feedback on why I wasn’t the right fit. This left me feeling as though the process was not about finding the best candidate, but rather about marketing or filling up positions on paper without considering the real quality of the candidates. Conclusion: Overall, my experience with Sutherland left much to be desired. The recruitment process was unnecessarily long, lacked transparency, and ultimately led to a rejection without clear reasons. It feels like they are using candidates as part of a marketing strategy rather than actually considering them for roles. I would advise anyone considering applying to be prepared for a potentially time-consuming and unfulfilling experience.
