I had an initial interview with a recruiter. It was a bit unusual because they asked me technical questions without even knowing the answers themselves. Instead, they simply checked my responses against a provided "correct" answer. Of course, it’s impossible to match their answers word for word. Additionally, the recruiter expressed concerns about my ability to pass the interview process because I hadn’t worked with some of their technologies in recent years. As a result, they didn’t even send a rejection email—they just disappeared.
