The interview process at Steelcase is frustrating. After an initial recruiter screening and 2 team interviews, the position was not offered with no explanation or feedback. In between the interviews were unanswered to emails to the recruiter, in addition to weeks of no communication, updates, etc. The final interview included a VP, who spent more time speaking regarding the company, values, etc. than they did asking or answering questions. Given the allotted 1 hour time frame, this wasn't a great use of time as much of the information had already been discussed previously and/or is readily available online and should already be known by anyone who's applying to a position within the company. In addition, they also made a jab at my current employed, which was not appreciated. It was made very clear that the team the position was with was very much a "family," however, basic information I was hoping to learn regarding the role, training, etc. was not discussed.
Frustrating experience overall with a salary budget below the industry average, even given the geographic location of this role.
