The technical interview process was divided into two distinct sessions. The first was a 15-minute introductory round focused on a high-level overview of my background and specific project experience. This was followed by a 45-minute deep dive that centered on technical proficiency, evaluating my knowledge of the core tech stack and my ability to solve complex, scenario-based problems in real-time.

* Professional background summary.
* Initial alignment on team expectations and methodology.
* **Technical Deep Dive (45 minutes):**
* In-depth discussion of past project roles and contributions.
* Practical, scenario-based problem-solving exercises.
* Architectural decision-making and troubleshooting approach.

👉 Tip: Be ready to talk about audio/video editing, AI tools, or content workflows since Descript is in that space.

Logical/Puzzle interview -> Phone screening -> take home project -> Interview with managers
The main thing that made this process so unenjoyable was that it took place over 4 months (Early december to early march) which is unacceptable for an interview process.
