I was contacted and asked to apply. Didn’t hear anything at first. I had a call with a recruiter and then officially applied. I didnt hear anything for over another week, then a stage 1 informal chat was booked for the following week. Conversation was informal with generic questions asked about why I wanted to apply and my job experience. Then another week went by before being rejected on other candidates being a closer match. I don’t mind not being selected, although I do the role being advertised at another bank already, but it did feel like my time was wasted as this took a total of 5 weeks to not even make it to stage 2 of a 4 stage process. I’m surprised I wasn’t at least given the take home task to prove my technical ability.
