I applied online. About 4 days after applying, I get a call from a manager asking if I wanted to have an interview on a Tuesday. During the interview, the manager asked me to briefly describe myself, such as education, future goals, etc. She then gave me an overview of what the job would be like. She noted that because I had experience in working on PCs in another job, she wanted to be clear that this specific position wasn't going to deal with PC repair. She stated that even the "PC repair techs" don't actually do much repairs outside of physical repairs or program installations. Most software troubleshooting/repair is done remotely by other people. It is a sales job that requires selling service and protection plans to the customer. She also stated that sales associates have have to meet sales goals each shift. She then asked if I had any questions about the job, duties, or general questions. After I asked a few questions and she responded, the interview was over. She let me know that they had about 4 more interviews that day and that they would choose the best candidate for a second interview. She said that if I didn't hear from her within a few days, it meant that they had chosen someone else for the second interview.
