Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. Acudí a una entrevista en Staples (Framingham, MA) en may 2026
Entrevista
The interview process consisted of 3 rounds spanning across 3 weeks from HR screening to "offer" call. I had my HR screen on 4/24, then Hiring Manager round on 4/29, and On-Site final rounds meeting with team members and director on 5/6. Every round went smoothly and the team expressed interest in me while I showed them what I could bring to the table. On 8:30AM Monday, HR emailed me saying I was their "top candidate" for the role and to let him know on my other search status as well. At this point, I was excited for an offer call soon to come. I sent a follow-up email on Thursday morning of that week and HR called me saying they had to cut budgets and that the base salary is now 14% lower than what we initially agreed on and that he couldn't help it due to business changes. I was really frustrated as I was already being lenient with the initial salary range which is lower than the current market range for these types of roles. They also want me to come into their Framingham office 4x a week which is another big burden. Based on all of this, I can tell that the company isn't doing so well and there are probably better options out there for data type roles.

The interview process was easy. I spoke to HR first. I then spoke to the manager and spoke to others from the department who would be contemporaries. Everyone was really friendly and supportive.

I had two in-person interviews - I felt the first was very welcoming and I learned a lot about the work environment and the general duties and expectations of the position. Although I was no longer being considered for the original position, I was invited back for a second interview to see if there was a contract role I could potentially fill. I arrived on-time and the interviewer was 15 minutes late and apparently didn't realize that I needed to be escorted to his office. The interviewer had an meeting scheduled soon after I reached their office, so we chatted for a few minutes about some of the work the data science team was working on recently and then worked through a problem on a whiteboard. Afterwards, with no time left to discuss my potential role I was told to email the interviewer to schedule a return to meet some of the rest of the team. Needless to say, my email was never returned.

The most difficult part of the interview process was attempting to convince them that I found the work that they were doing interesting since my background is not in business.
