I was called in for this job, which made me more hopeful because I didn't just apply, they called me. I even made up some examples to add to my portfolio, you know, showing them what I can do. They asked the normal questions, about you, your work history, where you see yourself in a couple of years. The person seemed very interested, and said I was definitely at the top of the list. Upon leaving, they gave me a magazine to look through, which I thought was nice. They said regardless of whether I got the job or not, they would call me. A couple weeks later, I called and they said the job was still open. Three months later, and I still have not received a call. I now wonder if this was just a ploy to show their magazine to me in hopes I would subscribe and tell others.
