The position I applied for had been posted for 7 months. I received a call back from someone in HR who did a preliminary phone interview and then set up another phone interview with the Group Channel Manager. I had a phone interview with him that went well. The HR person contacted me afterwards and invited me to do a virtual interview with a panel of people that included sales reps, a product manager, and a Sr. VP. It was a 3 or 4 hour interview that I thought went very well.... The HR rep took 3 WEEKS to get back to me (I remained in touch this entire time and was told that travel schedules and other internal issues were the reason for the delay). Finally I got a phone call saying there was another person they had been interviewing and they decided to go with them. The whole process took a month.

Typical interview process. Starts with an HR screening phone call. Next was a virtual interview with the hiring manager. He asked all the usual questions. Tell me about yourself and your job history. Next was another virtual interview with the head of sales.

Entrevista
Senior recruiter reaches out for an initial call then schedules a call with hiring manager. Phone interview with hiring manager. Sent recruiter an email to follow up a few days later because I haven't heard anything, she says the hiring manager has been traveling and will get back to me. Been a month, haven't heard anything.
It could be because my ideal salary is higher than what their budget was but recruiter kept saying since I'm not directly from this industry their salary makes sense for me (I'm from consumer electronics background, this role had to do with home locks)
