Applied online. Received a call a couple weeks later from an HR representative to schedule a phone interview. Next day talked with a program director about his position and he asked me questions related to spacex, my education, expereience, etc. typical interview stuff, not really technical at all.
The interview process consisted of a few technical questions and a project overview where I described in depth a prior project that I had worked on. The project portion included questions based on what I said to gauge a deeper understanding.

30 min phone call - resume review and questions about experiences, and some behavioral/vaguer questions. then many technical questions with follow ups (took up most of interview). lastly, time to ask your interviewer questions about them
