I met with recruiters at an information session on campus. We discussed my resume briefly and I was then asked a few "quiz" questions on pressure vessel stresses. I applied online to a handful of locations/departments and I was contacted a few weeks later. I had two interviews, about two weeks apart. In the first interview, I was asked questions about my experience with fluid systems and thermal analysis. I was asked about my interest in SpaceX, about my knowledge of their propulsion systems, and about my experience with CFD. Then we went through some technical questions about pressure vessels, FEA, stress and strain, and reynolds number. In the second interview, I was asked about my experience with rocketry and fluid systems. I was then asked technical questions about pressure vessel stresses, nozzle expansion, properties across shocks, thrust, heat transfer types and relationships, and heat transfer systems.
