      Entrevista

      Half of a day wasted, with no thank you or acknowledgment. It started with an online application and then eventually, a couple of online assessments. If you do well in this round, then you get to take the intelligence exam again since they do not trust anyone they do not know. This time, through a Skype-like call with their VC monitoring you (one-way). You get a one-sided interview (you don't see him while he sees you), then he proctors your exam. If you are on a Mac, I wouldn't even bother. I experienced so many technical difficulties with their software during the call (screen size, timer was not visible, locking up between questions). Afterwards, they went silent. No "Thank You" for spending four+ hours on our exams and interviews, no "We went with another candidate," just silence. If a company does not have the common courtesy to at least acknowledge the time you placed into their mandatory half-day interview and screening process, then know that you were very fortunate that you did not get hired. I do extremely well on intelligence tests, but since their software sucked, I was unable to finish the exam and a sales candidate with a documented history of being in the top 5% went to a better company.

The unique hiring model we’ve adopted includes a video conferencing approach to interviewing intended to maintain the integrity of this process. We are very sorry to hear you encountered technical difficulties. It should be noted that as you experienced those issues, the meeting could have been stopped or rescheduled so the issues could have been sorted out. We received over 13,000 applicants in the past year for our openings, and consistently strive to provide follow up with all of them.       Entrevista

      Mostly assessments and 1 phone interview. They never called or emailed me back after the phone interview. Just left me hanging. I called the interviewer and emailed him and never got a response. Very unprofessional

      I was contacted by a rep in Sovos through Linkedin....He was friendly and we talked about my experience being a match for the position. I was invited to take a survey/ assessment to see where " do I fit better within the company. 4 Days later he replied" we have moved other candidates" It seems that my 15+ years of Software,hardware multi National and Enterprise sales experience is not welcomed at Sovos.

      Thanks for the feedback! Your background certainly sounds very impressive - I can see why our recruiter would have reached out to you! Sovos' hiring process is differentiated by our drive to hire for talent and culture fit first. Our assessments are an unbiased, data-driven way to understand people's natural talents, regardless of background. While it may be frustrating, it helps us avoid natural human biases early in the hiring process and find talent that is likely to fit in our unique and demanding culture. It does sound like this could have been communicated to you a little bit more clearly - and I apologize for that. We will work on that in the future. It does sound like you have a great skill set that many companies would be lucky to have, and we wish you luck finding the best fit for you.
